From:  John Ford, President of the Court Watch Montgomery Board of Directors

Court Watch Montgomery is delighted to announce the appointment of Leslie Hawes as its new Executive Director.  Leslie will lead our volunteer-led court monitoring and reporting organization following the recent departure of our previous director.  The Board is extremely grateful to Gail Nachman for serving as Interim Director during the past two months while we searched for our new leader.

Leslie is a legal professional who has recently relocated to Montgomery County.  She spent the first ten years of her career as a corporate attorney in federal and state litigation.  She then dedicated the last fifteen years to nonprofit work, having actively served on numerous boards of directors, including the board of the Midwest Innocence Project.  She has also been a consultant to CEOs of numerous nonprofits, including a large medical clinic providing care to economically-disadvantaged groups.  Leslie also previously served as a court-appointed special advocate working with teens in foster care.

I am personally delighted to have someone of Leslie’s caliber assume the role of Executive Director.  She is passionate about making a difference.  Her previous experience and extensive knowledge of the nonprofit sector make her the perfect fit to lead Court Watch Montgomery.
