Wouldn’t it be great if new judges in Montgomery County took a tour of our county to better understand the scope of local social problems that will spill into their courtrooms and the services available that judges can use to forge just solutions?

Judges could see the Family Justice Center, the Safe Passage Center, and the abuser intervention program, “New Beginnings.” They could hear from key domestic violence service providers.

This is an inspiring story about a judge who got out in the community to make sure he understood the true situation on the ground, met the people affected by his decision and made sure they received needed services. He didn’t narrowly read law; he made sure his decision was “just.”[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
